Introducing Active Threat Response for Sophos Switch/Sophos Wireless (AP6)

Sophos introduces Active Threat Response, a new feature for Sophos Switch and Sophos Wireless (AP6 Series). This functionality helps to automatically isolate compromised devices on your network, wired or wireless, managed or unmanaged. It works by receiving threat feeds containing MAC addresses of suspicious hosts and then instructs Sophos switches and access points to block communication for those devices. This effectively prevents lateral movement within the network and gives administrators time to investigate and remediate the threats.

 

Active Threat Response integrates with Sophos MDR, XDR, and NDR for threat intelligence, but also allows for integration with third-party security solutions through a public API. This feature, along with the single-platform management offered by Sophos, strengthens the overall security posture and simplifies security management for Sophos users.
